Danielle Savory: Head Teacher East Lansing CDL |
Danielle Savory is an Upstate New York native who joins us after a three-year stay in New York City. In Manhattan, Ms. Savory completed her Master’s degree at Bank Street College of Education, where she specialized in Early Childhood and Special Education. While in school, she taught in Bank Street’s School for Children in both the 3 and 4/5 programs, as well as assisting in admissions. Ms. Savory received her B.S. in Human Development from Cornell University. Here, too, she focused on early childhood, student teaching, and interning in Ithaca’s public pre-kindergarten programs. She also became involved in the area’s Urban 4-H program, providing after-school and summer programming to low-income youth. Ms. Savory believes that children learn best through play and through hands-on, multi-sensory experiences. Her professional interests include children’s social development and developing developmentally-appropriate science curriculum which incorporates the natural world. Ms. Savory can be reached by phone at 355-1900 or her MSU email at: dsavory@msu.edu. |
