Grace Spalding

Grace Spalding has a Master’s degree in Child Development from Michigan State University, as well as 30+ years teaching experience.  Ms. Spalding is a warm, creative teacher whose sense of humor contributes to an enjoyable and lively classroom.  Her ability to adapt activity plans to meet the learning needs of children representing a wide range of development levels, makes her a particularly strong asset to the CDL program.  Grace has co-authored two books on theme teaching for young children that are currently used as a resource for curriculum planning at the CDL.  In addition, she has presented workshops over the years at local, state, and national conferences on topics such as theme teaching, curriculum programming for toddlers, classroom management, supporting children’s friendships, and literacy.
